Charades

Today started of with an overly ambitious run. We lasted 30 minutes of dodging cars, lorries, dogs, humans and of course the motorbike riders that use the pavement as a road!

Famished from our treacherous run, we headed to a local diner. With none of the employees speaking English, we had to muddle our way through with charades and a lot of pointing at pictures. Even when we did attempt an extremely basic Thai, it backfired as the waiting staff just laughed at us and shrugged their shoulders. It worked though, as we got some delicious dim sum and a DIY pork soup.

Later that afternoon, we headed over to MBK to get our phones sorted. I managed to get everything that I have on my English phone contract for a quarter of the price. Bargain! I was also taught the phrase 'Same Same (but different)'. The copies of some fairly high-end products (on the surface) was astonishing. Even if Sony was spelt Sqny and adidas became addias!
